I learned to globalization define, culture globalization and korean wave on weekend. After class, I can understand globalization overall. I think that globalization is not comprehensive. Because with technology advancing at a fast growing rate, we enjoy much comfort in our everyday. For example, we can hear a lot of world news at FACEBOOK. We can get feedback  instantly about opinion, social agenda and so on. At this moment, we are communicating on social platforms.(Youtube, Facebook, Instagram)

Q1. How would we define globalization?

In dictionary definition, globalization is the increasing interaction of people through the growth of the international flow of money, ideas and culture. I defined globalization in terms of three.
In the first economic focus, I think that globalization is action to get profit international. With expanding transport and report, countries exchange high quality and competitive prices in global markets. For example, south korea sell the excellent semiconductor product, skills and smart phone of Samsung and LG. US sell high quality military hardware. In other words, countries want pursue greater economic efficiency by exchanging competitive skills, production and ideas.

In the second culture focus, I think that globalizaton is mechanism that world people can ungerstand the relativism. World people share their own culture. It is difficult to meet face-to-face, but they share their ideas by using social media like YOUTUBE. In fact, before globalization, most countries of culture were centered. But, as the media evolves, world people began to unite self-culture and culture of the world. In other words, globalization can learn the concept of relativism and it also creates a new culture by blending cultures together.

Finally, I think that globalization creates a united government politically. It includes non-governmental organizations, regulators, and voluntary organizations(NGO, UN, APEC). A united countries can easily solve the problem such as poverty, terrorism and famine and so on.
So, globalization solves physical distance and makes that all countries help each other.

Q2. How could a fusion culture look in 100 years?

I think that a fusion culture began to grow on expanding the media. Due to globalization, most countries accepted various cultures. In the media, many other cultures were introduced. Since these cultures introduced, each country combined world cultures with own cultures. We can see a variety of combined cultures. Also, we can discover a completely different culture. New culture gave people the opportunity to enjoy the culture of various countries around the world. They can also learn the concept of relativism about other cultures, not their own culture.

Q3. How could we measure cultural globalization?

I think cultural globalization can be measured through social media. If we look at YouTube, we find number of youtube video play. It means people aroung the world watched videos. They can share youtube videos like kakao talk. Also, we can measure the sales tax of brands that youtube advertise.
I have done extra survey, and I learnd "Big Mac index". The Big Mac index is the equivalent of a hamburger, the Big Mac, which sells at McDonald`s stores worldwide. As a globalization, sales of multinational corporations like McDonald`s can measure index about cultural globalization.

Q4. What are the most visible(Successful)Korean wave elements in the world?

First of all, successful Korean wave is  sports. There is the most famous Tae-kwon do. Tae-kwon do is not a sport to fight someone. It helps protect own body. Also, it is very helpful to grow mental power. Tae-kwon do was adopted as an Olympic sport. Today, there are many different races athlete around the world.
Recently, dancers, based on Tae-kwon do, are also very popular on YouTube. The team name is "Just Jerk". They perform a dance that combines Tae-kwon do and group dance. Their movements are highly spirited. And they are very creative. Also they are a dance team that we `ve never seen before. Recently, they performed on "America`s Got Talent" 2017. All the people who watched the show got up and shouted, cheering and hitting. The reason why Korean wave is popular is creative, positive and dynamic.
