Q1. How would we define globalization?
Because the increase of interchange among the world, culture, economy, politics is getting similar. Sometimes they have an effect each other, and sometimes some country make hegemony. I worry about that 'globalization' can be a different figure of colonization.

Q2. How could a fusion culture look in 100 years?
I told it last class. I think 'money' will control the fusion culture. Because now capitalism is governing the world. It means the country that have more capital have more power, so they will lead the market of culture. So in future, American and western culture will be common, Asian and african culture will be subculture.

Q3. Which country is more globalized: Korea or Japan?
I think in music and drama, Korea is more globalized than japan, but in animation, Japan in more globalized. Japan has more advantage in story of art and technical skills. Korea has more advantage in trendy sense, good look, and exciting story. So I can't make a decision which is more globalized Korea and Japan. But I can say they have different strong point.

Q4. What are the most visible (successful) Korean wave elements in the world?
First, 'Meokbang' can be one of the most visible succesful korean wave elements. 'Meokbang' appeared in late of 2000's, it means 'eating broadcast'. Actors eat some food and express their opinion about the food. By increasing of single-person household 'Meokbang' take possession of the most visible succesful korean wave elements.

Second, K-pop is make headline in nowadays. K-pop has unique point. Idol music is the most important part of K-pop. Handsome and pretty young singer, trendy and electric music, powerful and organized group dance are make a popularity of K-pop

  1. Asia and Africa currently have many populations. Their population will continue to grow or sustain. But the situation in Europe and America is different. Their population continues to decline. I think the future capital is the population. Capital can not prevail over human beings. Because capital is used by humans. So I don't think Asia and Africa will be dominated by capitalism. Rather, I think Asian and African cultures may be dominant. Owing to a large population

  2. Your opinion that 'money' will control fusion culture is very interesting! Also, I think your answer to question 3 is wise. Each country has differnt specialzed industries, so I agree with your opinion that it is difficult that we make a decision which is more globalized Korea and Japan.
