W3. What is globalization? - Yun Hui Shim

what is globalization? - Roland Robertson and Kathleen E. white

1.summary
What is globalization? We have answered this question during the last lesson. The first image of globalization was culture. This is because it is the easiest and most accessible thing in my life. However, I read this article and learned about various kinds of globalization. The obvious thing that I know of is that globalization is still unclear. And globalization is still ongoing.
The impressive part of this article is the ‘ position of developing countries ’. I knew that they did not want to accept the definition of globalization arising from the social context of more privileges. Unlike superficial expressions, globalization is generally viewed as a viewpoint of advanced countries. For this reason, many scholars thought that it would look at globalization from a multiple perspective.
I was curious to read this article. According to the globalization, how did the world of underdeveloped countries, including the continent of Asia and Africa, change?

After the end of the Cold War and the disintegration of the Soviet Union, globalization has had various repercussions since the mid-1980s. In particular, cultural variations in Asia and Africa were conducted in various forms. In the East Asia region, China was widely influenced by globalization in terms of political, economic and social areas. In particular, China was able to enter the global market economy by turning itself into a capitalist market economy. It has developed a huge market to expand into the world of Taiwanese and Southeast Asian economies. These changes caused the gap between the regional and regional sectors, each of which caused a change in the wealth gap, and this conflict immediately caused changes in cultural values. In the case of South Korea, it began with a political change in the democratization of Korea, the U.S. military, the United States of America, the U.S. invasion of Iraq, and the North Korean nuclear issue. And the cultural values that were unique also changed partly. Even in Africa, it was impossible to escape the flow of globalization. The effects of globalization greatly changed the relations among various ethnic groups in Africa. Conflict between ethnic groups has intensified, political democratization has partially progressed, and economic systems have undergone changes. Globalization has become a worldwide trend. This trend is without exception in Asia and Africa. However, the distinguishing sphere was different from each other in every country.

2. Interesting & Question
There is a continuous question while reading this article.
‘So what is globalization?'. After all, globalization is not something that can be clearly defined. It is not important to define globalization. Globalization is merely global globalization. A lot of things are fused. From politics, economics, culture, and environment. Many of the things we can share and share with everyone in the world are the categories of globalization. Globalization can change in the future.

Lastly, there is a curious question. It is also something to discuss with others.
First, What will happen to the nation due to globalization? How can the fundamental things of the nation remain intact, with the notion that the concept of globalization remains strong?
Second, I read recently that ' Deglobalization ' has accelerated. Isn't it true that the world is in the flux of Deglobalization rather than globalization? For Britain's withdrawal from the European Union (eu) and Donald Trump's president election is accepted as a signal that declares 'the deglobalization'. Economists, who believe that they have benefited from everyone, have changed their minds and began to regard globalization negatively. National capital movements and international trade have declined remarkably in recent decades. It is undeniable that the greater freedom of capital brought about by globalization and the expansion of trade. However, it was carried out according to the needs of the force, and the side effect was serious. Throughout the world, there is a growing number of layers of resistance called the ' losers of globalization '. One obvious thing is, isn't it that all these things show the underlying transformation of globalization?
