Cultural Globalization

1. Summarize

Clifford Foertz says this. Culture is the creation of life. It is also a context that can mean what events mean and what human evidence means. Cultural meaning and interpretation synchronize people's choices and behavior and direction.  The way to fulfill physical necessities is also a part of the culture. Consumer spending that buys goods and expresses themselves through it creates a network of global markets.
Reading an article, which is interesting, is that globalization is a form of cultural imperialism. Iconic brands such as Disney and Coca Cola affect many things as they stretch out into the world. Google, McDonald's, Nike, Starbucks, and Hollywood movies. In various parts of the world, the culture of advanced culture is reminiscent of cultural imperialism. In Korea, there is a story like this. It is not a city where there is no McDonald's. Actually, my hometown was not McDonald's until last year.
The brand ‘ McDonald ’ changed my hometown, a regional image, as if it were deserted. Koreans naturally eat hamburgers, drink coke, and play games. However, it does not feel that their actions deeply enrich Western culture.

2. Interesting point

Reading this article, I read the book I read earlier. Why is half of the world starving? There are many reasons, however, that the third world does not have a globalized network in the same way as a globalized economy or advanced country.
The word globalization means that the whole world is politically integrated. However, this is not true. As long as the exclusion of the third world is present, the third world people who are excluded from the name of globalization are hungry.
People enjoy many things economically and culturally, but they don't care about them. Even though a few dozen children die a day, globalization seems to have lost its meaning.
In many ways, we should have flexibility in globalization. I read this article and felt that I was thinking about the meaning of globalization only in cultural and economic areas. I seem to have tried to see only the bright spots of globalization. I did not talk about these isolated countries when I learned about the globalization of elementary school and middle school.
Developed nations are superior to us and learn to learn their culture and to grow alike.  And many people are still thinking about eating hamburgers at McDonald's, saying, " I'm so lucky to be globalization. We can also eat delicious hamburgers that Americans eat. " True meaning of globalization is becoming skewed. Why do people want to communicate with many people in the world, but they are not more interested in the work of refugees elsewhere in the world? Do you want to follow the culture of Western culture, and as a culture of culture, which culture is ruled out? What is true globalization? What do people think globalization is?
