W3. What is Globalization?/ Cho ji won

1.Summary
Globalization does not have a single defined definition. Globalization is a concept that can be interpreted in various ways depending on who is the interpreter. Therefore, many people in developing countries do not want to accept the concept of globalization as interpreted in the social context of the privileged. However, capitalism has spread and globalization has been recognized as promoting inequality of capital by big countries. As the concept of globalization is concentrated in capital, many social science elements have been ignored.
People think globalization is a very long-running phenomenon. So, people do not concentrate on the connectivity (conflict) of events that occur in the process of globalization. For example, the conflict between the United States and the former Soviet Union is related to the end of the Cold War. Material conflicts in globalization are important. These conflicts act as ideologies and lead to globalization.
Globalization is largely defined as three dimensions: economy, politics, and culture. As globalization is usually focused on the economic side, aspects of culture are increasingly emphasized. For example, large capital brands can spread globally, but in order to be successful in many parts of the world, it is necessary to adapt to local circumstances. In conclusion, none of the aspects of globalization are more important. All three are important factors. After all, an important factor is people's perception of the environment.
Globalization is governed by an age system that rules the times. When ideologies such as fascism or the Soviet Communist Party dominated, they tried to unify the world into their ideology. However, the world system has been changing and the whole unification of the world has not been achieved. But as capitalism recovers to a firm system of the present world, globalization is being debated by capitalism. However, the one-dimensional interpretation by the capital prevented the multifaceted approach to globalization, and so did the opposition. In addition, globalization is generally considered to be a discussion on a global scale. As personalization increases, however, discourse on individuals, gender, and various microscopic categories is increasing in the discussion on globalization.
In conclusion, globalization must be interpreted from a multifaceted perspective and interpreted differently depending on the situation and the times. It is because globalization is gradually changing by the linking of various events in the world. However, there are many generous people who do not have various perspectives. Therefore, it is necessary to criticize and observe in order to make a right definition of globalization.

2. New interesting or unusual items I learned
I was thinking of the most important element of globalization as capital, and I thought that the rest of the elements would be spread by capital. However, when I read this article, the economy was only one factor in globalization. In globalization, all three elements of economy, politics and culture function independently. It was also interesting that globalization is proceeding through the linkage of events. Because of physical conflicts that occur before globalization occurs, we can predict and analyze future globalization. Finally, it is also interesting that globalization is being analyzed not only on the macro level but also on the microscopic level.

3.Discussion point
As the globalization progressed, many advantages came from globalization such as the development of the country. However, as globalization progressed, many problems also appeared. As the world unifies, the influence of the great powers becomes greater. The things that can be dealt with in their own countries now have to be seen by the great powers. Also, there was a problem of praising only the culture of the great power, feeling inferiority of the culture of the home country. This is not a right globalization. What efforts should be made to solve these problems?
