Q1. How would we define globalization?
We can define globalization through our social media. According to Wikipedia, “ Globalization is the increasing interaction of people through the growth of the international flow of money, ideas and culture. “ I think we can exactly define through our social media. Nowadays, we can talk and communicate with other country person. So, There are many application about interacting each country. In the social media, we can communicate about our interested area and country culture. A dictionary definition of Globalization is “ exchange and trade about money and stuff “ . But, my definition of Globalization is “ Globalization is the invisible space that anyone can meet other country people without time and space. “
Q2. How could a fusion culture look in 100 year?
The word “fusion” will be deleted in our mind. Because the world is global world. The traditional culture is disappearing and mixing with other country culture. So, I think a fusion culture can be called other name in 100 year. Maybe that will be created by globalization. In addition to this, if the new culture ( a fusion culture ) is developed and spread to the world, the strong country had a this culture want to call their country culture name. In other words, a fusion culture will be dominate by the cultures of country whose having the strong powers.
Q3. What are the most visible (successful) Korean wave elements in the world?
Increasingly, media is developing. So, many TV show have a various format. For example, parenting, music, travel, married life, country life and cook TV show. Lately, K-pop is very successful Korean wave. Not only Koreans but also other country people can see this TV program. In the course of process, TV program’s format was exported to other country. In the past, many Koreans TV show format was adapted from other country program format. But now, Korean wave makes the new TV program format in the world. So, Korea media company and other country production company have a plan developing program together.
Now that the Korean TV programs are so creative, there are many TV programs either buy the copyright and legally remake in their own country, or just illegally copy and air in their country. How do you think about the illegal actions done by Chinese broadcasting companies?
