To define Globalization is argumentative. There are numerous standpoints and blurred demarcation. For this reason, there is no fixed defitnition of Globalization but the authors are about to provide one. And also, disputes about globalization occurs between developing countries and economically developed countries because of social context. This article approaches to understand globalization in some viewpoints. That is, The parameters of the general process of globalization, The dimensions of globalization, the form of globalization, and the new concept, Glocalization, finally mentions globalization's history.
Globalization is generally understood as increassing connectivity between cultures. But important thing is that understanding the increasing global consciousness is also significant. As Huntington argued, there are parameters of the process of globalization. The civilizational conflict like conflict between western culture and islamic culture. This phenomenon happens not only from global consciousness but also from materials. Generally there are three dimensions on globalization. The economic ,the political and the cultural. Each dimensions are equally important and complemantary. As wallerstein metioned, the world is becoming integrated in to singular system. Even he did't worked on globalization, his idea and proposal  is used to study the form of globalization. The concept of Glocalization is the view refused to see global and local as opposite. Glocalization points that local being regarded as global and global regarded as local, in which both can't be explained without each other.

The term "Globalization" accepted as "it" before i read this article. I just thought globalizations as a social phenomenon which global standard effects local ecnomy, culture, politics and life styles. The interesting thing that i learned in this article is that the process of general globalization can be defined in various ways, and the fact that there are no local things(culture, economic products, politics) effected by global things and vice versa. As i am majoring in sociology, this article reminded me of there are no stationary fact. The fact or knowldege i know can always be changed. And the proven fact, which is widely-accepted theory(opinion) can be overthrown.

By finishing this article, The question "what is globalization?" become accepted contradiction to me. There are stationary facts but, i think it is almost impossible to characterize or grasp the constant changes  in social phenomeonon. I got curiosity about how to define or accept the conception or notions. Does concept needs to be treated as htpothesis?
